The first and foremost image that one conjures of processed food is of burgers, fries, pizzas- all fast food that is available over the counter falls in the category of processed food.

Processed foods cause inflammation, a source of most chronic illnesses as well as stress.

Processed sugars like sucrose, fructose – they release inflammatory messengers like cytokines. Transfat found in fast foods and other fried products, cookies, donuts, crackers trigger systemic inflammation. White flour products like bread, rolls, crackers, white rice, white potatoes- fries & wedges trigger obesity and other chronic conditions like gout, arthritis.

Stay Hydrated Naturally- When it comes to quenching our thirst it is best we rely on water and fresh fruit juices. Drinking soda/carbonated drinks, commercial juices promotes dehydration and weight gain as they contain a lot of added sugar. High in carbohydrates – they often lead to an upset stomach like bloating, IBS.

Compare natural such as fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, healthy fats, and lean proteins on one end and on the other end frozen food, deep-fried food, ready-o-eat, and fast foods. Think about the slow harming effects of the foods that are manufactured, you will naturally tip in favor of natural, whole, organic foods.

When you add artificial flavoring, taste enhancers, artificial sweeteners and preservatives to your food they are loaded with chemicals. If your food chiefly contains these, they cause a great deal of harm to your body. The solution is to switch the whole, organic foods.
